St. Joseph's School, NTPC, a senior secondary school (affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi) owned by National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (Kahalgaon), administered by the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence of GAP Society founded on 14th July,1986 for both boys and girls from Class LKG to XII where the session runs from April to March.
This institution as an integral part of the Thermal project was started to illumine the darkness of illiteracy.
